Having an extremely important place in Turkish economy with its figures in production, export, employment and its competitive power in the markets around the world; the foundation of the success story of Akgün Group of Companies was laid by Süleyman AKGÜN in 1925.

Süleyman AKGÜN started as an apprentice in clay brick laying in 1925.

Initiating the automation investment, Veli Akgün established Akgün Brick factory in 1975.

In 1978, our İzmit Ünak Brick Factory producing insulation bricks was established.

In our Bilecik Pazaryeri Ceramic and Granite Factory with 10.800.000 m²/year production capacity, established in 2001, we continue to produce granite and technical porcelain tiles.

Since 2005, we have been serving with our 2 facilities under the brand of Akgün Petrol.

Since 2008, we have been producing ceramic healthcare equipment in our Sakarya Vitreous Parts Factory with a production capacity of 480.000 pieces/year.

In our Kütahya Gediz Ceramic Factory with 5.500.000 m²/year production capacity, established in 2010, we continue to produce ceramic floor and wall sets and glazed porcelain tiles.

Since 2011, we have been producing ceramic healthcare equipment and vitreous parts in our Eskişehir Vitreous Parts Factory with a production capacity of 360.000 pieces/year.

Since 2013, we have been serving in automotive sector with Akgün Volvo brand.

Since 2015, we have been serving in automotive sector with Akgün Fiat brand.

In our Bulgaria Novi Pazar Factory with 8.000.000 m²/year production capacity, established in 2016, we continue to produce ceramic floor and wall sets and ceramic glazed porcelain tiles.

In our Izmir Ceramic and Granite Factory with 10.000.000 m²/year production capacity, established in 2019, we continue to produce ceramic floor and wall sets, granite and ceramic glazed porcelain tiles

In our Kırıkkale Construction Chemicals Factory with 100.000 ton/year production capacity, established in 2020, we continue to produce paints, ceramic adhesives, joint fillers and insulation materials.

Our sanitary ware factory, put into operation in Tuzla in 2021, produces ceramic sanitary ware and vitrified products with a production capacity of 20.000 pieces/ mounth on a 20.000 m2 land and 9000 m2 closed area.
